Types of Industrial Water Treatment
Boiler Feed- By removing dissolved minerals in the feedwater instead of relying on chemicals to minimize scaling in the boiler, boiler tubes remain cleaner, resulting in better energy transfer and chemical costs are significantly reduced.
Process Water - Process water is water that is used for a variety of manufacturing processes, including: boiler make-up water; cooling tower make-up water; coating and plating; rinsing and spraying; washing and many others. Municipal or groundwater supplies often contain dissolved minerals which can cause a multitude of problems than can affect product quality and manufacturing costs.
WasteWater - Wastewater treatment is the process of treating wastewater prior to discharge into to a stream or municipal sewer. Wastewater is frequently required to be treated in order to meet set standards for levels of dissolved or suspended contaminants. Wastewater treatment processes, methods or technologies that worked in the past may not meet today's more stringent contaminant restrictions set forth by the NPDES or POTW.
Pre-Treatment Water - Pretreatment generally includes one or more forms of filtration, whether conventional media or membrane, and makeup water treatment, which is essential for optimizing the success of any filtration. A pretreatment program may include filter treatment, water softening, or a combination of different treatments.
