Water Softeners
The Robert B. Hill Co. manufacturers a wide variety of water softeners to fit your needs. With 50 years of experience, we can design a water softener that will soften your water for many years to come.
Water Softeners are sized according to the size of your home, the number of people in your family, the number of bathrooms in your house and by the hardness of your water. After determining the answer to the above questions we are able to properly size your water softener for your home.
The second most important factor in designing a water softener is the type of control valve you will be using. The two categories that control valves fall into are either metered or time clock. A metered valve allows the water softener to determine when to regenerate based on the number of gallons of water you have used. A metered valve allows your water softener to only regenerate when it is necessary. This reduces the amount of salt your water softener will use by at least 20% a year. A time clock unit regenerates based on the number of days you set it for. If you go on vacation and do not use a lot of water, the water softener will still regenerate.
Control valves come with options that can be beneficial based on the home owners needs. If you prefer digital electronics many control valves will come with electronics that will display your remaining capacity, hardness and when the next regeneration will occur. These valves also let you change your salt setting, regeneration time of day and capacity with just a couple of buttons.
